ARISS 2027 Application Window: 22 May Deadline

An offering by Bellevue Amateur Radio Club

Schools and Youth organizations have the opportuity to arrange contact with the International Space Station between Jan and June 2027.  The application window is open now but closes on 22 May '26.  Selected schools must provide a large audience and a small number of students to actually ask questions directly to the astronaut.  NASA coordinates the actual date and time for the event.  This is a competitive opportunity with a limited number of contact "windows".

Learning Outcomes

A NASA ARISS contact is an ideal supplement to school science curriculum focused on space, plus the general subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Art is also influenced by an ARISS contact because art helps communicate the experience of space travel and the unique qualities of this earth we need to protect.
